how we use the different vanes for full cone nozzles

For those full cone nozzles, we normally use X type vane, disc type vane and S type vane to achieve full cone coverage. X type vane is for regular nozzles in small sizes like 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2", and disc type is for the bigger ones. Only when big free passage is required we will use S type vanes, they are cast vanes which allow the flotages in the water to pass, thereby the nozzles will not be easy to be blocked but of course prices will be much higher than the other types.
