With the popularity of industrial nozzles and the special requirements of the papermaking process, industrial nozzles are finding wider and wider applications in the paper and pulp industry. Industrial nozzles are everywhere from the headbox, wire press section, drying section, and coiling section. The performance of these industrial nozzles plays a crucial role in determining the quality of the paper produced. Despite their small size, industrial nozzles are a vital accessory in paper mills.
There are five main applications in the papermaking industry with industrial nozzles:
- Tank cleaning
Tank cleaning nozzles can be used for tank washing in paper mills, which offer fast cleaning speed, and low operational cost.
- Cutting paper edges
High-pressure solid stream nozzles are mainly used for cutting paper edges, which can form a linear needle-shaped liquid column flows under different pressure conditions, and can withstand pressures up to 140 bar. The nozzle holes are made of 316 stainless steel and high-aluminum ceramics.
- High-pressure cleaning for wires and felt
Cleaning for press felt, blind drilled press roll and fluted roller cleaning, etc., typically used fan-shaped nozzles, high-pressure solid stream nozzles, self-cleaning nozzles, etc.
- Paper coating
For paper surface coating, fine mist nozzles and air atomization nozzles are generally used.
- Pulp defoaming
Normally we use hollow cone nozzles and spiral nozzles to remove foam from paper pulp.
