An atomizer is a spraying device for reducing a liquid to an extremely fine spray, and it can be hydraulic or pneumatic according to the technology for which it is built.

So what is the difference between hydraulic and pneumatic atomizing spray nozzles?

HYDRAULIC ATOMIZER

The hydraulic atomizer is a device that can achieve atomization at low pressure without any gas.

PROS AND CONS OF HYDRAULIC ATOMIZER

The advantages are:

1. The nozzle has good wear resistance and long service life;
2. No compressed air needed, and easy to maintain.

The disadvantages are:

1. Requiring costly investments and a complicated layout;

2. Easy to block because of the small orifice size.

PNEUMATIC ATOMIZER

 The pneumatic atomizing spray nozzle is a device that uses high-speed airflow to spray liquid to form atomization.

PROS AND CONS OF PNEUMATIC ATOMIZER

The advantages are:

1. They generate the tiniest drops ever;

2. They have a very extensive application.

The disadvantages are:

1. The nozzle passage is precise and easily to be damaged;

2. Both compressed air and liquid are needed, energy consumption is high.
